Who We Are and Our Mission

Who We Are

Big Brothers and Big Sisters is the oldest and largest one-to-one mentoring organization in the country. The organization celebrated 100 years nationally in 2004. However, all the member agencies are operated, governed and sustained locally. Gulf Coast Big Brothers and Sisters has been mentoring the youth of Galveston County since 1976.

Our Mission

To help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.

Our Vision

Successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to better schools, brighter futures and stronger communities for all.
